Designed as a party-sized pre-mixed which is loaded with the flavours of a holiday season, making it perfect for hosting a holiday party. Reserve the remaining cordial for morning drinks, puddings, or to mix more rounds of this cocktail.
The Bikini Cocktail
Makes enough for 10 guests
Ingredients for the Clementine Syrup (makes 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g fine sugar
Ingredients for the Premix (produces 850ml, serving 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml clementine syrup (see above)
A few cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Instructions
Making the Citrus Syrup: Put all the items into a saucepan, heat until it reaches a gentle boil, stirring to dissolve. Then, remove from the heat and let it to reach room temperature fully. Pour into an clean bottle, seal keeping it chilled, it will last for up to a month.
To make Premix: Pour all the spirits and syrup in a large bottle, let it rest for 60 minutes, then pass it through best through cheesecloth, to ensure it's fully clarified.
For serving: Measure 85ml of the cocktail base to a mixing glass packed with ice, and agitate lightly for one minute to cool it down. Filter into a frosted cocktail glass or a similar vessel, garnish with the cranberries and finish using a quick spritz with the mandarin essence over the drink.
